Our Story
A New York atelier, since 2014
Rainmeter began with a single market cart on Greene Street and a belief that flowers, thoughtfully chosen, can change the feeling of a room — and a day.
How we began
From a market cart to a SoHo studio
Our founder, Elena Marchetti, trained between Milan and New York before opening Rainmeter's doors in 2014. What started as a small stand has grown into a full atelier — but the philosophy hasn't changed: source the best of the season, and let the flowers lead.
Today our team designs everyday arrangements, weekly subscriptions, and full-scale weddings and events for clients across the city, all from our studio at 118 Greene Street.
What we believe
Our values
Sourced responsibly
We buy from growers who share our standards — seasonal, traceable and, wherever possible, local to the Northeast.
Composed by hand
No two Rainmeter arrangements are identical. Each is built by a florist, not a formula, the morning it leaves us.
Considered, never excessive
We believe in restraint: the right stem in the right place, with room to breathe.
